How to check if your WordPress can send emails

The contact form on Lucille WordPress theme is based on WordPress core email functionality. There is an easy way to check if your WordPress can send emails.

1. Install and Activate Check Email plugin. You can get it from here.
2. Go to Tools – Check Email and perform a short test. Insert the recipient email address and press Send Test Email.

If your WordPress is able to send emails, then you should receive the email. If not, please contact your hosting provider support service, and ask them to fix this issue.

What to do if your WordPress does not send emails:

If the contact form doesn’t work out of the box, then you can follow the steps below:

1. Download WP Mail SMTP plugin.
2. Contact your hosting provider and ask for SMTP settings.
3. Change those settings in the WP Mail SMTP plugin and they’re good to go!
